GANGgajang is an iconic Australian rock band best known for their timeless anthem Sounds of Then (This Is Australia). Formed in Sydney in 1984, the group blends rock, pop, and uniquely Australian themes to create music that resonates across generations. Their distinctive sound and enduring appeal have cemented their place in Australian music history.

V Spy V Spy is a legendary Australian rock band renowned for their powerful blend of rock, reggae, and socially conscious lyrics. Formed in Sydney in 1981, the band gained acclaim with hits such as Don't Tear It Down and A.O. Mod. TV. Vers. Their energetic performances and thought-provoking songs have left a lasting mark on Australian music

Dungog Cup 2026

Back again for the third year running, the Settlers Arms sponsored the Dungog Cup, a Race Day and provincial Championships featuring INVADES, held at the Newcastle Racecourse on the 28th of February.

Saturday Sounds

The Settlers hosted a day of live music, great food and a jumping castle for the kids on Saturday the 14th of March 2026. Sets included an open mic for local artists, an acoustic set by Roger Pyror, and a Rock n Roll set with Smoke Stack.
